A Quick Update

I realize that it's been a month since I last blogged (ah! that's waaay too long!), but I've been super busy and I hate my oven.

I know, I know, they're just excuses.  And I am totally ashamed of myself for waiting this long between blog posts.

I have been baking, though... I just made some peanut butter cookies and some chocolate cupcakes last week.  They were delicious, but I forgot that I didn't take any pictures until after all the treats were eaten!  (Although there is a pic on my facebook that I took from my phone, if that counts for anything.)

Mainly I just wanted to say that:
we're finally getting a new oven!!!!

If you've been following this blog long enough, you know how much my oven and I absolutely abhor each other.  One of us was going to have to go, and my parents are kicking the oven out, not me! :)

Since I'm leaving for college in three months (going down to Florida to attend Saint Leo University), I won't have too much time to enjoy the shiny, new, stainless steel oven, but I plan to make the most of these three months.

The oven is coming on Wednesday, and I will be happy to blog all about it (seriously guys, I think I'm almost more excited about getting this oven than I am about graduating in three weeks... almost)-- right after I bake lots of yummy treats!

Congratulations on your upcoming graduation Kelsie! My daughter Shelby graduates this Friday, and is heading to Oklahoma State in the fall. I hope you are planning to continue your blog, I don't want to lose two of you to the world! :)
Are you majoring in culinary science, or will that remain a satisfying hobby for you?
All the bst to you in the future. Oh, and congratulations on your new oven!

Congrats on the new oven! We were flooded out by a hurricane last summer and all our appliances got replaced EXCEPT for the oven. The darn thing still works, even after sitting in almost a foot of water. I was really hoping to get a new one, too! Oh, well. Enjoy your oven while you can : )
